Review of Edge of Sanity (1989) by Jim M — 05 Mar 2008
Budget: Low, Plot: Outragious, Acting: Mostly over the top and yet this movie managed to be one disturbing trip. Anthony Perkins plays Dr. Jekyll who after experamenting with cocaine becomes Jack Hyde aka Jack the Ripper.
From here the movies pretty much Anthony Perkins acting creepy, consorting with hookers, gettting messed up on drugs, and then proceading to torment and carve up said hookers. Still Perkins switch from Jekyll to Hyde and back gain along with the level of violence he inflicts on the hapless woman make this one disturbing movie.
..and for a horror movie thats a good thing.
