Review of Edge of Darkness (2010) by Ras M — 25 Nov 2010
Being from Boston I have a soft spot in my heart for movies that take place here, and recently there have been a few. This one, however, was just too familiar. Cop seeks revenge for slain daughter, finds out some stuff but still decides to get even with everyone involved.
The only reason I give this even a 40% is because I found the relationship that evolved between the cop (Gibson) and the man hired to "clean up the situation" interesting. Craven (Gibson) even says in one scene, "thanks for not killing me." And the guy simply raises his glass of wine as to say your welcome. But the rest of the movie came with few thrills or surprises.
