Take your standard Mel Gibson revenge movie and twist it with some 70s paranoia mystery. The latter is the reason 'Edge of Darkness' works. And the performances by Winstone and Huston are fantastic.
Gibson is alright, wish he didn't go with the accent though. Not a great movie, nor is it trying to be one. Just a good little piece of entertainment.
