Review of Edge of Darkness (2010) by Sowmya A — 10 Jul 2012
Its good to see Mel Gibson back in front of the camera after directing for a number of years.
Its great to see the actor take on the slightly lose cannon unhinged roles which he does best again, roles that made him famous with the likes of the 'Lethal Weapon' series to Mad Max series etc, and this return includes a over the top growling Mel Gibson in Edge of Darkness, and this is always a treat..
Still the vehicle is a slow un involving slow drama, that never gets off first base and has a laboured feel to it, similar to Gibson's other drama 'Ransom' which was intense without the tension.
A return to form as such for its lead, by a by numbers thriller that never really gets going.
