Review of Edge of Darkness (2010) by Fastidious P — 30 Oct 2010
This feels all too familiar. Probably because I saw it 1999 when it was called Payback. Okay, so they're not exactly the same film, but the blueprint is still largely the same. Edge of Darkness appears slightly confused at times as to the film it wants to be; hard-nosed revenge film or environmental agenda vendor.
Despite its familiarities, Campbell's action direction is a welcome change from the hyper-spastic tendencies of most currently working in the genre, and Gibson is nails as always.
