Review of Edge of Darkness (2010) by Jarrod H — 16 Mar 2011
Edge of Darkness I got to say is a damn good thriller in my eyes. The plot to Edge of Darkness is about a cop named Tom Craven (Gibson) who's daughter is visting him. 10 minutes into the movie the Daughter is killed in a assassination attempt for Tom or was it.
Tom soon finds out that his daughter and 3 or 4 other people were working for a company that is planning a conspiracy against the country. I myself am not a fan of thriller films such as this but for what it was it isnt bad.
Now like every movie I do have a few bones to pick: First is one of the actors Ray Winstone, although he was a great charcter I could not understand a word he was saying so if your tv has subtitles turn them on.
Next is some of the dialouge can be pretty dry espically if your not really into the movie and there aren't many action scenes. Now a lot of people compare this movie to "Taken" But in my opinion this is BY FAR the better movie.
Now in my "Taken" review I said that it had bad action scenes because the Camera was wipping all around the place, Well even though Edge of Darkness has fewer action scenes the few they had they got right and were pretty damn good.
Bottom line this is a great thriller and comes recommend.
