Review of Edge of Darkness (2010) by Christine C — 05 Apr 2013
Gibson was effortlessly good. He's a very old-fashioned actor and he played the role quite well. However, his skill in acting wasn't enough to carry the entire film. There were powerful moments and lines but those were overshadowed by the not-so-good statements and dialogues which could have been a lot better.
It's a struggle to watch the film because it's sort of like the film Taken which puts the viewer in the position of the father. It's a very edgy movie. I think it had kept the audience guessing from beginning to end.
It has flaws but one good thing is that it did not really became something predictable. There were parts that were little bit off and boring but It's a well written screenplay and it simply depicts reality.
It could have been better but it was good and satisfying.
