Review of Eden Log (2007) by Fred C — 08 Dec 2008
If you like movies in which everything is explained and the plot is easy to understand, this movie is not for you... A man regains consciousness at the bottom of a cave. He has no idea who he is or how he got there, nor what has happened to the man whose corpse he discovers next to him.
He starts his journey to the surface through some strange, abandoned tunnels and find some clues related to a mysterious organization called Eden Log... Actually, the plot does not really matter at all: you will find many things left unexplained and left for you to figure out yourself (or at least giving it a try).
Music and dialogues are kept at a minimum level, intensifying the haunting atmosphere and the washed-out, monochromic visuals. This movie is pretty cool and unique, if you liked Pi, Cube and The Fountain, I recommend this.
Blockbuster fans, stay away, you will find this way too "arty" :).
