The real horror about Eden Lake is that a grown man would take his woman to some backwoods, bumfuck, redneck out of the way place for a romantic getaway ..? Give me a five star hotel on a beach in reasonable proximity to shopping malls. What was this man thinking?? They run into a gang of violent teens who seem to be the offspring of equally sadistic parents. Alas, all horror movies require one common ingredient and it's that the characters must make really REALLY stupid choices that ensure they are constantly placed in harms way.
The film reflects the YOB culture in England that's been growing so rapidly, people are emigrating out of the UK as fast as they are out of Mexico city !!
