Review of Eden Lake (2008) by Mikael B — 18 Sep 2009
I knew this movie would be brutal. What I did not know was that it would be so effectively disturbing. And I mean this in a good way, even though it might sound weird. I figured before watching that this movie got the "brutal" imprint for just being violent.
And even though it is very violent at certain times that is not what made it so disturbing. It's the psychological aspect of it that I found really frightening, mostly because it was so realistically portrayed, much thanks to the kids terrific acting.
Shortly, the film was just great.
