Review of Eden Lake (2008) by Morgan D — 24 Nov 2009

This is a grim disturbing film which while it has many standard ideas from the horror/thriller genre, this time the baddies are just common chav kids albeit psycho ones. The fact that these evil kids are played in a way that you will recognize them from being noisy on your bus route increases the unease caused by their violence.

While I generally prefer a happy ending or at least some kind of resolution/comeuppance the ending to this film fits the point of the story perfectly.
