Review of Eden Lake (2008) by Codie E — 22 Mar 2010
A very good advert for Horror writer (My Little Eye, The Descent 2) James Watkins as a director. Here he crafts a very real and socially relevent film dealing with youth culture and the lack of control we have over it.
Unfortunately the film goes down hill in the second half and becomes somewhat over the top. Admireable but hardly challenging The Descent and 28 Days Later as Britains finest horror films in the last decade.
