HORRIFYING tale of a vacation gone bad. The whole story is nothing new or fresh, but it's so well-acted and grueling you won't soon forget it. It's brutal and by the time things have really REALLY gone bad you totally feel the numbness & desperation of the protagonists & have true sympathy for them.
THAT'S what holds "Eden Lake" higher than other films of this genre. Trivia tidbit: One of Michael Fassbender's first movies before he got famous.
