What makes the ultra-low budget Eden Lake work is its interest in the "how" of events instead of the "what". It delves deeper into the details of the horror and the emotional weight of what's happening than many of its ilk.
Overall it's a little overrated, but this attention to the smaller stuff helps make it worth seeing.
