Review of Eddie the Eagle (2016) by Christopher J — 21 Jan 2016

I was very pleasantly entertained as well as very surprised by this one tonight. It was an early advance screening for a movie that is being released at the end of February. While the trailer doesn't do it justice, it starts out a bit formulaic & schmaltzy but somewhere just shy of the midway point it all comes together.

One of the best underdog stories I can recall, it teaches a great lesson in perseverance and the importance of never giving up on your goals.
