Review of Eddie the Eagle (2016) by Martin P — 12 Aug 2016
Eddie The Eagle is a motivational, 'dream come true' kind of movie. It doesn't surprise and is pretty traditional in its story, but it doesn't disappoint either and kept me interested throughout the entire movie.
We see Eddie Edwards, who has always dreamed of being an Olympian. When he sees his qualifying chance as a ski-jumper he together with his trainer go on an inspirational but cliché-rich journey towards the winter Olympic games.
Eddie The Eagle is definitely worth watching, it is funny and has good insights in a very unknown sport for me. Only watch it if you don't mind these typical working up from bottom to top style of movies.
