Review of Eddie the Eagle (2016) by Richard S — 21 Nov 2016
Growing up I vaguely remember news stories about Eddie the Eagle and him being regarded as a bit of a joke. The film of his life shows the guy had true spirit and determination to live his dream no matter what set him back.
Taron Egerton does a spot on job of impersonating the man and the film itself is funny, moving and inspirational. The closest thing I could compare this to would be Cool Runnings, another great film about unlikely Olympians fighting for their dream.
Well worth seeing.
