Review of Eddie the Eagle (2016) by Antonia H — 03 Dec 2016
As a youngster I sat glued to the telly with my entire family cheering Eddie on. We knew he would need a miracle to have a chance of a medal but quite honestly we didn't care. We were routing for the guy living his dream against all the odds & his unwavering enthusiasm was infectious.
At the end of the day, nearly 30 years later, it's the underdogs (Eddie & the Jamaican bobsled) who everyone still remembers & not the elite. Great to see this side of the story though I'm not entirely sure how accurate it is.
.. but just like 30 years ago, I don't care... I'm just loving the ride.
