Review of Eddie Murphy Raw (1987) by Brenden D — 28 Apr 2011
It's weird seeing the star of such movies as Daddy Day Care and the Dr. Doolittle series on stage dropping f-bombs. He starts off really well initially then it's down here from there. I was describing my favorite segment of the special, his conversation with Bill Cosby regarding his own stand-up act, and I couldn't remember why I hadn't watched the mood in it's entirety.
After an hour I remembered why. He talks about relationships and the ups and downs of them. Funny when he starts but you get the idea 45 minutes in. If the movie had been like the first 30 minutes it would have gotten a much higher ranking.
