Review of Ed Wood (1994) by Brad M — 05 Feb 2011
I really like this movie. Probably one of the best films Tim Burton ever made and yes, I realize this is an extremely fictionalized account of the actual director. I like how the plot is centered around Ed Wood, a character who is an outcast but pursues his passion in spite of not having one iota of film talent.
He surrounds himself with other more outcasts, having no support from anyone but stick together anyways. I especially liked the relationship between Ed Wood and Bela Lugosi (played beautifully by Martin Landau).
A well-made underdog movie, having you root for the losers all the way to the end.
