Usually, movies like this will show why the character is wrong or right. Why we should or shouldn't root for him. But this movie instead asks if this character really is wrong. Ed Wood is a terrible director, but he has so much heart.
Does he know that he is wasting people's money? Is he self aware and just laughing in his head? Or is he truly think he is making a work of art? The mix of drama and comedy makes this one of the most enjoyable movies I have ever seen.
It makes you want to see Ed Wood's pictures and understand why things were done the way they were. Purely perfect in my eyes. One of my all time favorites.
