'Ed Wood' is not exactly Burton's highest regarded feature film. Perhaps overshadowed, but it does surpass some of his acclaimed greater works on many levels. Ed Wood, a lively cross-dressing eccentric, known to have produced some of the most uninspired, shoddily directed, poorly executed works in the revolution of Hollywood cinema history.
Tim Burton pays homage to Ed Wood's legacy as a struggling visionary director. And it soars.
