Review of Echelon Conspiracy (2009) by Olivier A — 20 Jul 2009
This was enjoyable, but it reminded me too much of Eagle Eye. It reminded me of Eagle Eye the way the less talented of celebrity siblings reminds you of more talented ones, like Julia and Eric Roberts.
The budget was smaller, the script was even less original, which in and of its self was a feat, and most of the actors weren't as talented as the ones in Eagle Eye. The one advantage this movie did have was Edward Burns.
He has such likeable style to him, and I make a point to see all his movies. It seems as though recently he has resigned himself to starring in movies that are direct to DVD or be the unlikeable guy in romantic comedies, but he is always the most enjoyable aspect of any movie he is in.
Always.
