Review of Eating Animals (2018) by Lindsey B — 06 Jul 2018
This documentary brings the issue of factory farming to life and let's the viewer consider solutions. As one of the film's interviewees says, we "vote three times a day" with our forks.
The images bring the reality of what American food is and what it can be into the light; a picture is worth a thousand words. While the film bends towards vegetarianism'veganism as a solution, it leaves room for the viewer to consider a range of solutions.
Natalie Portman's narration is strange, but fortunately it isn't a primary part of the film. A good film for anyone interested in clean water/air, public health, animal welfare, corporate power, constitutional rights, worker's rights, climate change, and more.
