Review of Eat Sleep Die (2012) by Alberto A — 16 Jan 2014
Eat Sleep Die features a topic that's overlooked by mostly everybody: the problems of getting job and the horrible feeling of being laid off of a job because of union issues.
The film tells the story of two Arabic immigrants that have been living in Sweden for more than 20 years, a father and his daughter. Besides telling a whole new aspect of the life in Sweden, we get to see a glimpse of the daily routine of the european lower class. And something quite important: the sacrifices they have to make to keep their jobs, which you can lose any day when your stay depends on the union.
A slow but realistic and original film.
