What a disappointment ! I'm sure the book is better than the movie, which is what typically happens when someone tries to translate fiction into moving images. Julia Roberts is not up to the standards of an Oscar winner (sorry Julia!).
She looked as if she was cracking up by laughter in many scenes (when she was supposed to be quite sad or upset). The movie is too long and a bit boring at times. The Italian bit reminded me a bit of Under the Tuscan Sun (yawn!).
