Review of Eat Pray Love (2010) by Eric Y — 23 Mar 2011
The movie is devoid of emotional weight because Gilbert's struggle is never given a sense of urgency. She comes across as nothing more than a whiny, privileged white woman. An insightful, truthful memoir has been reduced to vacuous Hollywood dreck.
Watching 'Eat Pray Love' is like flipping through a glossy high-fashion magazine; all style, no substance.
