Review of Eat Pray Love (2010) by Timothy A — 29 Sep 2012
Yes, it's about first world problems, but it's audience is people who have them. One woman's not particularly interesting or well-expressed journey is offset by the beautiful camerawork and natural attraction of the places she visits (although it's laughably obvious that the filmmakers were told to drop one of the three big locations and recreate it on a studio backlot).
You can almost feel sorry for Liz Gilbert for the backlash on this one; yes she talks a load of bollocks sometimes, but it's not her fault Oprah listened.
