Review of Eat Pray Love (2010) by Professor S — 01 Apr 2011
I really enjoyed the pace of the movie--it certainly didn't seem like 140 minutes because the scenes were just right--not too short, not too long. I absolutely loved the spiritual tone underlaying it all, and I liked much of the thought-provoking soundtrack.
I was left wanting to know what my "word" is, to learn the sweetness of doing nothing, to get a meditation cave, and of course--to partake in some delicious Italian food! (Little Italy SF, anyone?) Relatable life lessons abound, such as swimming through the moat to get to the castle.
A touching series on forgiveness. Everyone is a teacher. Believe in love again. Loosing your balance for love to find balance in life. And, my personal favorite, that God dwells within me *as* me. I was quite touched by this picture, as it danced around hopes of love and self-actualization which reside inside us all.
