Review of Eat Pray Love (2010) by Dc E — 06 Feb 2012
I found the use of "Heart of Gold" to be Ironic. The only Hearts of Gold were the ones the Julia Roberts character ripped out along her selfish journey towards more selfishness. This movie is nothing but a representation of the mainstream mentality that is spreading among women in Western Culture. It seems to be an inevitable transition that America has to go through. As we reach almost near equality among the sexes, there are massive amounts of women who are jumping at the Narcissistic mentality that will plague the mere thought of a life long relationship. Luckily there are women out there who are smart enough not to buy into this Sex in the City mentality. Unfortunately in life there will always be hard, unhappy moments in relationships. We need more movies that encourage working through issues and growing with someone. Not running.
This movie made me sick.
