Review of Easy Rider (1969) by Adrian B — 07 Nov 2010
Easy Rider captures the period of the 1960's so precisely. Under one-time director Dennis Hopper, this documentary-like film is one of the most significant period pieces of all time. Jack Nicholson's part in the film is the most well-acted, although credit should be given to Hopper and Peter Fonda for their roles as travelling hippies.
The music in the background includes songs in which I distain, but they seem to work here, especially with the beautifully filmed scenery in which the bikers they pass on their journey towards New Orleans.
Really neat film, and it definately worth the watch, mainly due to cultural impacts on society. Also, the filming techniques, going from to scene are one of a kind and very unusual.
