Review of Easy Rider (1969) by Marios P — 02 Feb 2011
While i'm sure it was relevant for its time, "easy rider" now stands as a monument to the big headed, and faulty, ideals of a generation who never accomplished anything in the first place.
if the hippies ever "won" whatever it is they were trying to win... how come my generation is so royally fucked? because they praised selfish and misguided heroes like Dennis Hopper and Peter Fonda whose only goal is to go to Mardi Gras and get high - these aren't inspiring figures, just lazy poker buddies who bum cigarettes from you.
the lone star goes for Jack Nicholson - who has never failed me.
