Review of Easy Rider (1969) by Leighton T — 07 Apr 2009

I think this has become more of a classic because of its documentation of a particular era/area in American culture/history. To me, it is worth watching because it means so much to so many other people.

Cinematography is a stand out, plus some nice camera tricks with scene transitions. I enjoyed the performances from all 3 main characters, the screenplay hardly feels like it was written down, more off the cuff, where can we take them next kind of on-set decisions that films like this manage very well, and the Mardi Gras/drug sequence is strange, but captivating.
