Review of Easy Rider (1969) by Jack M — 22 Jul 2009
A memorable film, however, I don't find myself absorbed by the counter-cultural '60s feel of it. I know its 1969, but the film is dated, and I feel that it tries too hard to be fantastic. I feel that Hopper and Fonda overract.
Jack Nicholson on the other hand, soars as George Hansen. Clearly its had an impact on cinema, and sealed the shift from studio films to independent. It hasn't aged well.
