Review of Easy Rider (1969) by Skyler B — 15 Jan 2013

This is the first time I have seen this movie from begining to end in some time. I think in 1969 this movie was probably stiking but in all honesty I don't think it holds up to all the praise it gets.

Don't get me wrong it is by no means a bad movie it's just not the great movie everyone makes it out to be. As I was not around in 1969 I can not speak to how groundbreaking film was and I'm sure it was at that, but to be fair to the film if you are seeing it for the first time give what you see in front of you a chance on it's own and put the hype to the side as it may be much of a hinderence then a help those who like myself were not there to compare it in context to it's time period.
