Review of Easy A (2010) by Rosco — 22 Mar 2011
A very good teen comedy indeed. Emma Stone proves yet again why she is one of the leading young actresses in the world with another fabulous performance as an anonymous and normal teenage girl who pretends to lose her virginity in order to help out a friend.
However this spirals out of control and she soon finds herself at the centre of every males attention. Supporting cast is well chosen Patricia Clarkson, Thomas Haden Church and Lisa Kudrow are fantastic in their roles.
But its Stone who steals the show, superb choice as the lead in what is a well written and very clever comedy. Won't be for everyone but given the amount of terrible teen movies on the market Easy A is refreshingly humorous in highlighting how big a role "sex" plays in a teenagers life and thus brings around the comedy in what is a genuinely funny and smart movie.
