Review of Easy A (2010) by J Brigham H — 21 Jul 2012
EASY A is Emma Stone's movie. From the first shot to the end credits, she carries the film through with an appropriate excess of charisma and provides the film with the better part of the film's likability, deftly shifting between teen angst, sarcasm, witty charm and honest emotion.
With a less talented actress/comedienne, EASY A probably would only just better than mediocre. The other major highlight are the riotously funny performances by Tucci and Clarkson as Stone's oddball liberal parents who threaten to steal the movie from Stone whenever they grace the screen.
Credit is also due to the script too, with some great moments of biting wit.
