Review of Easy A (2010) by Kay K — 08 Jan 2013
I adore Emma Stone and thought the premise for this plot was unique and quite humorous; however it didn't transfer onto the big screen. Stone has great comic timing and presence and there were some funny moments, but as a whole I was less-than-impressed.
The whole born-again-Christian group was like a bad stereotype and Penn Badgley's character was two-dimensional and quite painful, especially in his delivery of his few lines. Is he a terrible actor or just a bad role, whose to say? The whole wanting life to be like an 80s teen movie was quite cute at least.
