Review of Easy A (2010) by Dann M — 24 Sep 2014
Emma Stone stars in the satirical teen comedy Easy A. After telling a little white lie Olive Penderghast gets a scandalous reputation, and fueled by the notoriety she starts spreading more rumors about her promiscuousness.
Stone gives a really strong performance and is quite charming. The comedy is also rather good, with a lot of cleverly written quips. However, most of characters are typical high school cliches and the moral lessons are pretty heavy handed.
Yet despite its formulaic plot and use of tropes, Easy A is entertaining and fun.
