Viggo Mortensen and David Cronenberg strike gold (again) with Eastern Promises. It's an incredible character study and Viggo Mortensen delivers a fantastic turn as the complicated mobster associate.
The violence didn't overtake the film at all, but when it did enter the scene, it was a provocative shock to the senses.
