I'd forgotten how good this film was.A London Midwife(Naomi Watts) loses a 14 yr old Ukrainian Mother in Child Birth.Trying to do the right thing & find family for this newborn baby girl, she steals the Diary of the unfortunate dead Mother.Anna(Watts) is half Russian, & has an Uncle working on Translating the.
Diary, as well as a Prominent Russian Restauranteur(Armin Mueller-Stahl) , who unbeknownst to her, is Hierarchy in the Russian Mob.She reluctantly becomes involved with with his Driver/Cleaner (Viggo Mortenson), who performance as Nikolai is unforgettable & extra slimy. Her life, & that of her family, becomes in great danger.This film is quite a Thrill Ride & Boasts the most memorable NAKED fight scene of all time.
