Review of Eastern Promises (2007) by Scott R — 23 Apr 2012
Russian's selling women in London. I think they just wanted to raise awareness and at the same time show how the Russians are people too. I started losing interest when she starts reading the journal of a dead Russian prostitute sharing her struggles. It felt like the writer just started losing interest or lost track in how to end it. It got to the point that I was bored, that was until Viggo started fighting naked in the Russian Baths. That's something I wish I never would have seen.
My favorite part was when the son was leaving the Chelsea game and is yelling "Arsenal" and everyone makes fun of him until he gets killed (of course not by fans, but by Russians). Kind of ironic since Chelsea has a Russian owner.
