Review of Eastern Promises (2007) by Miles T — 23 Jun 2012
Masterfully written. Well directed, and well presented this is a seriously awesome film. It's really entertaining and very violent but it maintains utmost dignity. It's peers are the classic gangster films but you'll notice this one in the group because of it's funny accent.
Turn this on if you feel like brooding alone or with friends. It's not a feel good movie.
Mortensen is so strong in his role he makes everyone else look amateur (except for Armin).
