I must say this was pretty good. Viggo did an excellent job, and played a Russian life so well. Very intricate plot. If you watched the features, you'll know that Viggo was in a pub one night when he hadn't removed the tattoos---a couple near him were speaking in Russian, and were fightened by the tattoos on his hands! This is funny, but I can understand being afraid. The director also said that Semyon was based on someone he actually knew, but would not name. I'd be a little nervous admitting that! You never know what kind of life you are stepping into, and this film protrayed that well. It is also interesting how a child was such a powerful symbol in the midst of all this. Innocence and love, born out of lust and violence. I also very much enjoyed the story line of the tattoos. So many people get tattoos, but they have no history, no meaning, and often end in future regret. One could read me very well by seeing the tattoos on my body.

On a last note, I really didn't care to see Viggo's penis, especially that much of it!
