A motley group of Asian prisoners held in the US are given a mission to Vietnam to destroy a missile cache left by the Americans during the Vietnam War in exchange for their freedom and a chance to become American citizens.

Led by Lt. Lam and convict Tung (Sammo Hung), they team up with Cambodian guerrillas, headed by Mrs. Hung, and a smuggler (Yuen Biao) to fight the VC and destroy the missile base. The film borrows liberally from American war films like The Deer Hunter and The Dirty Dozen.

It has everything an action/war fan would want: explosions, liberal use of bullets and machetes, impressive kung fu scenes and stunts, and of course Russian roulette (by VC kids!). Supposedly one of Sammo's best films, and I can see why.
