Review of Eastern Condors (1987) by Movie K — 30 Oct 2010

Starring quite a big bunch of quite well known actors. Lots of action and explosions. Lam Ching-Ying is a LTC gathers a group of 10 prisoners to destroy American weapons left in Vietnam. Sammo Hung is one of the prisoner.

Another colleague ask Lam to help him rescue his brother. When they parachute down, Lam got to know the mission is cancel but he goes on as everyone has jump down. 1 guy who stammer dies because he count to 20 too slow.

They are join by 3 female guerillas Joyce Godenzi is the leader. Briefing in the river hut, a vietcong boat stop there and saw a cigarette box, saw the guy who went out to shit and starts firing. Sammo and Joyce went out to take them out.

Yuen Biao sells stuffs on his bike and always pester Haing S.Ngor for treasure hideout. Lam, Sammo and Joyce find him but he seems crazy. Yuen Biao works with them and try to pass the checkpoint but Haing awakes.

The soldiers attack them. Later help arrive and they escape to the jungle. The soldiers still pursue them and Sammo with Yuen Biao easily wipes them out. At night, they were attack and capture. One of the lady is traitor all along.

They are held captive in water jail. Haing saw the traitor. One female free herself and them the others. They seize the chance to kill one guard, Sammo dress as him to distract other guards. All escaped.

Billy Lau is angry his brother is dead and wants to know what is their mission. Haing stop Lam and proclaim he act crazy as he know there is traitor. The lady got exposed and was killed by another gal.

The ultimate baddie is Yuen Wah. They have to bash through a bridge to reach their point. Sammo, Yuen Biao and Joyce attack a truck and enter to the other side. Sammo unable to take down the guard post, others have trouble to go pass.

He manage to take over one and clear the way. 2 guys are injured and remains. Yuen Wah fleet have 2 tanks and bomb them. The others reached the warehouse full of weapons. Lam is going to set up bombs but Joyce shot him and want the weapons for use against vietcong.

Yuen Biao and Sammo defeat them. The baddies attacked and many are killed. Yuen Biao is no match for Yuen Wah and Sammo take over and defeat him, put a grenade in his mouth and blows him up. Billy finish setting up the bombs and the trio escape via water tunnel.
