Review of East Side Sushi (2014) by Cupidsl C — 13 May 2016

Could have been a perfect movie if the ending wasn't so abrupt and short. Such a great movie throughout with the almost perfect of character building but at the end you wanted to see how the family reacted or how Juana reacted once she was offered the job as a Sushi Chef.

The director Lucero should have made it at least 30 minutes longer after Juana lost the competition. Juana should've have gone home dejected and sad then all of a sudden she gets a visit from Aki who tells her to come to the restaurant and as she enters, Mr Yoshida is there to greet her with a pleasant surprise as he hands her the chef jacket.

I bet you if the director had done this with the ending then this movie could've have been nominated for an Oscar.
