Review of East of Eden (1955) by Griffey G — 21 Mar 2008
I gave it an additional half-star for its historical significance. Still, it's a very strong film about paternal acceptance strewn across Bible analogy. Kazan is an excellent director, I especially love his swing shots toward the end and capturing the vastness of early 20th century Salinas.
