Review of East of Eden (1955) by Marie P — 18 Apr 2008
I cried when he gives his father the money and his father refuses and tells him to "give it back". James Dean turns around and hugs his father, crying, yelling, its just so true, so beautiful, its not a big suprise that he improvised this part.
I also cried at the end when his father asks him to take care of him and he finally feels loved... ah, what a fabulous movie. Definetly my favorite James Dean movie, although I do love Rebel almost as much!
