Review of East of Eden (1955) by Adrienne L — 15 Feb 2009
Finally I see what the fuss was about with James Dean. I hadn't seen this classic until now, and I think its brilliant. He simply smoulders on the screen. The story (as most from that time frame) was original and at times heartbreaking.
Its about a son who wants desperately to get his distant father's approval.
